ARTICLE I – NAME
The name of this organization is Community Travel Club
ARTICLE II - PURPOSE
Section 1. The purpose of this club is to:
a) Research local travel opportunities.
b) Share travel opportunities.
Section 2. Scope of the Club includes:
a) Day trips.
b) Longer overnight trips.
ARTICLE III - MEMBERSHIP
Section 1. Active/Voting Membership
a) Shall be open to all residents of Cresswind at Lake Lanier who are current with their Community Travel Club dues.
b) Annual dues shall be $10.00 per member. Collection of dues for the following year may be collected in November and December of the current year. Dues must be current to participate in a Travel Club trip and/or vote.
c) All votes require a quorum. A quorum consists of at least two thirds (2/3) of those members present.
ARTICLE IV- OFFICERS & THEIR DUTIES
Section 1. Officers and Members of the Board
The Board shall consist of 4 Officers, Members at Large, and the Web Master
a) Officers are President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer
b) The number of Members at Large board members may be determined by the Board.
c) Officers shall be elected for a term of one (1) year. Officers will be voted on by the board members.
Section 2. Duties
a) The President shall preside at all meetings and shall perform all duties pertaining to the office.
b) The Vice President shall perform all duties pertaining to the office and the duties of the President in the absence of that officer.
c) The Secretary shall take the minutes of the meetings and perform other duties pertaining to that office.
d) The Treasurer shall collect and disburse money and keep records/receipts and perform other duties of their office.
e) All Members at Large will serve on the board as active and participating members.
f) The Web Master shall maintain and update the content of the current Travel Club website, as necessary, and provide any required technical support for audio/video presentations during the general meetings.
g) The Past President serves as an advisor.
ARTICLE V - EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
Section 1. The Executive Committee shall consist of the Officers of the Club.
Section 2. Committee Chairmanships shall be established as are necessary to carry on the work of the Club. Chairpersons shall be appointed by the President.
ARTICLE VI–NOMINATIONS/ELECTIONS
Section 1. A Nominating Committee of all outgoing board members shall submit, at a general meeting, nominations for board member slots to be filled. Nominations may be made from the floor. If there are not enough nominations to fill the slots open, the board will decide on new board members.
Section 2. Those entitled to vote shall be active members in good standing.
Section 3. Officers of the board will be elected to serve for the following calendar year. Elections will take place in October, prior to the 15th. All Club members will receive at least one (1) week’s notice prior to the election meeting.
Section 4. New Board members will be brought on for the October Board Meeting.
ARTICLE VII - MEETINGS
Section 1. CTC Board meetings will be held prior to each monthly General meeting.
Section 2. The Club shall hold a monthly meeting for all members.
Section 3. The Executive Committee shall hold periodic meetings to manage the day-to-day operations of the Club
ARTICLE VIII - DUES
Section 1. Annual dues shall be $10.00 per member. Collection of dues for the following year can be paid in November and December of the current year.
ARTICLE IX - AMENDMENTS
These Bylaws may be amended by a vote of the membership (see article 3) at any regular or special meeting of the Club by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of those present and voting.
